Crime statistics of Potter County

The Sheriff’s Office of Potter County handled more than 140 criminal matters in 2019. Of the total number of complaints filed, 96 were against property crimes, while more than 45 were against violent crimes.

With 62 cases, larceny-theft had the highest occurrence rate of all property crimes. Burglary brought in around 30 complaints. Aggravated assault cases formed the bulk of violent crimes at 33 incidents. Cases of sexual assault had the second highest frequency, with 10 complaints filed against such matters throughout the year.
